Being asked to perform the EPC survey for the offices of the UK's largest canine welfare charity the Dogs Trust near Angel Islington was a dream come true. Not only were the offices first rate having benefitted from a recent major refurbishment they were unsurprisingly the most dog-friendly environment you can imagine with the staff actively encouraged to bring their four-legged friends to work. At a little over 21,000 square feet it was never going to be the fastest of surveys but it was happily slowed by long rounds of patting, tail wagging and introductions.

The refurbishment had included a complex rooftop Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system which required in-depth analysis and was a major factor in the building achieving an EPC B rating putting it in the top 30% of commercial building stock in the country.
