Last week, Haptic EPC had the honour of carrying out an energy assessment at the Royal British Legion’s headquarters in Southwark. It was a routine survey in some respects yet, given the timing, it meant far more than just data and diagnostics.
As the UK readied itself to reflect on the 80th anniversary of VE Day, our visit to this iconic institution struck a deeper chord. The Royal British Legion stands as a living symbol of remembrance, service, and community, supporting generations of veterans and their families across the country. To play even a small role in helping sustain their spaces was both humbling and meaningful.
Sustainability and Service Go Hand in Hand
At Haptic EPC, we often talk about energy efficiency in terms of compliance and carbon. But it’s days like this that remind us why the work really matters: creating better, healthier buildings that serve communities and the people within them for the long term.
We’re proud to align our mission with the values the Royal British Legion upholds:
Service to those who came before us
Sustainability for future generations
Respect for the buildings, histories, and communities we support
As the UK commemorates VE Day, we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute, however modestly, to an organisation that continues to stand for so much.
